A gentle sway of the flowers
Misty musky scent in the air
Clouds brightly swirling past
Warmth and serendity evenly spread
Summer time it was and gaiety abundant
Toots he called her
Though wintry the months were
Love made it summer time for both lovers
Unspoken words and actions
Bespoke of a match pre-destined
Toots was an epitome of a loving fairy
Giving and expected nothing in return
Just for her adonis to serenade her with affection
Time flew past like a derailed train
This beauty waited to be set afire by her man
Like in the days of old but fleeting it was
Love her he did
The yearning in her bright lovely eyes
Her pleas resounded resonantly
These he missed because he didn't understand
A man with a perfect idea in his heart he was
But still a man with all his flaws
Like an avanlanche of molten lava
Covering the path it swept through
Love became stifled and buried
Maybe lost in the midst of the debris
Too late he realised the unspoken yearnings
Waiting to be brought to the fore
Toots had given all and got nothing
Her man had turned her heart to stone
Wracked with pain and guilt
He sought redemption
Harsh words deservedly pummelled him
The sun had gone down on the lovers
Will there be daytime ever again
